April Neighbourhood Police update for Cholsey

We have seen an increase in inconsiderate parking around the Cholsey area. The areas mainly affected are Ferry Lane, Ilges Lane, Station Road, Church Road and Marymead. Patrols have been increased and £30 Fixed Penalty Notices have been issued to vehicles parking illegally. Please ensure that if you are parking your vehicle you are aware of any parking restrictions in place and that you are not parked in a way that will cause obstruction to other road users and pedestrians.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team is still monitoring the ever-growing pavilion. We will continue to carry out high visibility patrols of this area, especially as work is being carried out on the building and look forward to the grand opening.

We have seen an increase in shed break-ins across the area. Offenders appear to be looking for power tools and machinery. Please be extra vigilant across the area and ensure that you have locked sheds and outbuildings. Please also ensure that you have serial numbers and photographs of any tools/machinery as this will make them easy to identify if they are ever lost or stolen and recovered.

The Police website has more details including details of offenders brought to justice for crimes in our area.
