Volunteer to search for local people with dementia should they ever get lost

Message sent by Una McBreen (Police, Corporate Comms, TVP)

If a neighbour of yours with dementia had gone missing and you were free to help search for them in your immediate vicinity, and maybe save their life, would you be prepared to help?  If the answer is yes, and you have a mobile phone, please consider registering for the new, innovative, scheme called Neighbourhood Return.

Neighbourhood Return, is a voluntary scheme independent from Thames Valley Police, run by Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network.    The scheme needs volunteers in your area.  Neighbourhood Return is looking for volunteers to help find people with dementia should they ever get lost.  This may never happen, and even if you do get a call, if you are not available, you just have to text back ‘no’.  We know people aren’t available all the time, which is why we want as many people as possible to register.
