Panto: Sinodun Players’ spectacular production of Rapunzel at the Corn Exchange January 15-30
January is panto time in Wallingford, so come and let your hair down at Sinodun Players’ spectacular production of Rapunzel at the Corn Exchange.
Tots, teens, parents and grandparents will be captivated by this traditional tale of how a handsome prince rescues his beloved from her lofty prison cell by climbing up her long hair to reach her. But the path of true love never runs smooth and he must overcome prickly obstacles to achieve his goal..But there will be fun on the way from heaps of colourful characters including witches, a dancing robin, silly gnomes, ghosts, courtiers and pretty fairies. In the spotlight will be the lovely Rapunzel, her dashing prince plus their mums and dads, with theatre cleaner Mathilda adding a clever twist to the tale. Audiences will have lots of opportunities to boo, hiss, laugh, sing, clap, sneeze, quack and pat their heads whilst rubbing their tummies. And the special effects promise to be awesome.
Performances take place at Corn Exchange, Market Place, Wallingford January 15-30 (Tuesdays to Saturdays at 7.45pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
