APPLE JUICE DAY, Sunday 29 October: raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK

  • Come and enjoy turning your apples into fresh juice and also enjoy a tea or coffee with some extra special home-made cakes.
  • Bring your apples and plenty of clean bottles to store your juice. The plastic screw top bottles are best. Apples should be washed well in water and stalks should be removed. You will be preparing the apples by removing the bruised or damaged parts and the rest is pulped in a home-made machine which was once a small garden wood chipper! After that they are placed in a home-made press to extract the juice straight into your bottles.
  • Children are very welcome but as we are using knives, water containers and machines please make sure you can ensure total supervision at all times.
  • Donations are requested and we do not have a set charge.
  • To be held at 91 Ilges Lane.
  • Please try to walk rather than drive if attending as parking is limited.
  • Start time 10am and finishing about 2pm, though this time may be extended if we get lots of interest and apples to press.
