Yesterday, the 25 May 2013, the new Cholsey Pavilion was officially opened by Mark Gray, our newly elected County Councillor. The Chairman of South Oxfordshire District Council was also in attendance as were members of the Pavilion Committee, and many Cholsey residents. Photos of the opening can be found here.
The village has an excellent new facility which provides permanent and purpose built accommodation for the Cholsey Youth Club and the Community Library. It also houses sports changing-facilities, an alternative therapy centre, facilities for a cafe (and kitchen) and of course the main hall.
Over the coming weeks, the Pavilion will play host to a number of one off and regular events. This site aims to provide details of all local events, as well as some further afield, but specifically we have the following coming up in the Pavilion:
- 1-2 Jun, Book Launch of Winterbrook and Cholsey’s East End by Tony Rayner. Also includes the display of many historic photos not all of which made it into the book.
- 8 Jun, Cholsey Golf Society’s fourth Charity Race Night Come along have some fun and help raise money for local good causes.
- 15 Jun, Barn Dance. Food is included in the ticket price and a bar with real-ale is available. Should be a fun family event.
- Creative Club starting up in the new pavilion in early Jun. Check out their page or the events list for details
The facility is also available to hire. Please contact the Parish Clerk email@example.com
